In all honesty, this place isn’t a vibe, its a GREAT place to stay to do downtown Napa & the Wineries at a good cost!
Introduction: The Unpretentious Napa Gem
This Embassy Suites by Hilton is located right off the main Highway 29, putting it perfectly in the middle of all the major attractions. I think the first time I came to this hotel was probably 2015, and I’ve stayed here many times over the years. It offers a reliable and comfortable experience that focuses on convenience and space, making it a stellar choice for a quick stay in Napa Valley. My priority when visiting is simple: I’m here to drink wine!
Arrival and Exterior Architecture
Pulling up to the hotel, you definitely get a cool vibe due to the beautiful palm trees out front and the unique, low-slung architecture of this simple Embassy Suites by Hilton. It immediately feels like a retreat, despite being located right near the highway.
The Hotel Layout
Checking in at the front desk is always simple and charming. However, beware that their elevators tend to be a little slow. This is a larger property featuring an outdoor foyer that connects all the rooms, so it is a little awkward to navigate on your very first trip. But once you figure out the lay of the land, it’s super easy to get in and out of. There is plenty of parking surrounding the property, which is a huge convenience in Napa.
Hotel Room: The Essential Napa Suite
All the rooms here are a pretty good size—it is an Embassy Suites, after all, which means every room is inherently larger than a traditional hotel room. Every room features a nice, separate walk-in living room and kitchenette—one of my favorite things about Embassy Suites. This separate space, along with a separate bedroom and bathroom, allows you to host people for pre-drinks or wine tasting before heading out for the evening, all while maintaining privacy in the bedroom area. I’ve never seen anything larger than a traditional suite here, but I really don’t care; the current space is perfect for my needs.
Restaurants Onsite (Including Operating Hours)
The hotel offers a highly recommended dining feature that is essential for starting your day in wine country:
Morning Breakfast Buffet | Full Buffet, Made-to-Order | A nice size breakfast buffet with custom eggs that you can eat under the sun. This is definitely a lovely place to grab breakfast. | Breakfast Service (Typically 6:30 AM – 9:30 AM) |
Amenities
Key amenities that truly enhance the stay include:
Courtyard Oasis: A beautiful outdoor courtyard area featuring a really pretty fountain with ducks and fish swimming inside. It’s a wonderful place to relax.
Complimentary Breakfast: The nice size morning breakfast buffet, complete with custom egg orders, is a huge value.
Parking: Plenty of parking surrounding the property, which is crucial for guests driving to the wineries.
Final Closing
Again, my favorite part about this hotel is its perfect location right off the highway. This placement allows you to quickly get out of any possible congestion from the downtown area and keeps you separate from the congestion around the wineries. It’s a perfect spot for Napa! I tend to drive to the wineries during the day and then Uber from the hotel to downtown Napa at night to get food. I highly recommend the Embassy Suites by Hilton Napa Valley for an easy, quality, and convenient stay.

I travel for a living, a Delta 1 Million Miler 1MM, 10 years Diamond Medallion, 7 years straight Marriott Ambassador Elite, and oddly still Hilton Diamond (lame!). It’s the stories I collect along the way that truly fuel me.
From high-rise hotels in buzzing metropolises to quiet beachside cafés tucked between palm trees, my career takes me across the United States and beyond—and I take every opportunity to explore, taste, and soak up the local vibe. Whether I'm grabbing late-night bites in Belgium, sipping wine in Napa, or discovering rooftop gems in New York City, I always keep an eye out for the places and moments worth sharing.
