Unique Spanish-Style Design: A charming, picturesque hotel perfect for photography.
Quaint & Quiet Ambiance: Ideal for those seeking a boutique, less bustling escape.
Excellent Location: Just north of downtown Palm Springs, with many attractions within walking distance.
Fantastic AC: A lifesaver in the desert heat.
Compact but Functional Rooms: Thoughtfully designed with separate bathrooms.
Boutique Experience: Unlike larger, more traditional Autograph Collection hotels, Triada is intimate and quiet. If you’re looking for a lively “party scene,” this might not be your first choice.
Pool Area: While beautiful, the pool area can feel a bit crowded, and the chaise lounge cushions may be dated.
Bar Selection: The on-site bar has a very limited and basic selection of spirits. Plan to enjoy drinks elsewhere if you prefer a wider variety or premium brands.
Valet Parking: The hotel primarily offers valet parking, which incurs a daily fee ($32 per vehicle) and can add a layer of fuss if you prefer self-parking or frequent in-and-out access. Complimentary parking is available for Iluminara Restaurant & Lounge guests.
Pet-Friendly: Triada is a pet-friendly hotel, welcoming up to two pets per room (maximum 50 lbs each) with a non-refundable fee of $75 per stay.
Fitness Center: There is a 24-hour fitness center, though some reviews suggest it has basic equipment.
Check-in/Check-out: Check-in is at 4:00 PM, and check-out is at 11:00 AM.
No Spa: While some amenities suggest “spa treatment,” the hotel does not have a dedicated on-site spa. However, it’s known for its serene setting, which can contribute to a relaxing stay.

Interesting Review of the Triada Autograph Collection
As someone who loves exploring unique accommodations, the Triada Autograph Collection in Palm Springs immediately caught my eye for our recent desert getaway. If you’re planning a trip to Palm Springs and prefer to stay just north of the vibrant downtown area, I can wholeheartedly recommend this Spanish-style design hotel. It truly offers a distinctive charm that sets it apart from larger, more bustling properties. Forget your typical grand-scale Autograph Collection; Triada is a wonderfully quaint, quiet, and intimate boutique hotel that genuinely fosters a sense of tranquility.
From the moment we arrived, checking in was an absolute breeze. The small, efficient check-in counter reinforced that this was indeed a boutique-style property, designed for personalized service rather than grand, sprawling lobbies. While its intimate size meant less expansive public spaces, it contributed to a relaxed atmosphere. Let me walk you through some of the highs and lows we experienced during our stay.
The Positives:
First and foremost, the ease of check-in and room access was fantastic. Our room, though on the smaller side, was thoughtfully designed. We particularly appreciated that our bathroom was separate from the main bedroom area and offered a unique view overlooking a main Palm Springs road. A huge plus, especially during the scorching 110-degree Fahrenheit Palm Springs summer, was the phenomenal air conditioning. It’s often a challenge to find genuinely effective AC in the desert, so this was a significant comfort.
Visually, the hotel is a dream for photography enthusiasts like Kerry and me. Its striking all-white facade, complemented by traditional dark tan Spanish tiles and lush courtyards, creates a truly picturesque setting. Every corner seems to offer a perfect photo opportunity, adding to the overall “vibe” we look for in our travel experiences. Despite the room’s compact size, it was well-equipped with all the amenities we needed. Plus, the location is unbeatable – we were so close to downtown Palm Springs, making it practically walking distance to fun shops, restaurants, and even the casinos, perfect for exploring the Palm Springs nightlife.
Amenities & Areas for Improvement:
Now, let’s talk about the pool. The hotel features two outdoor pools, both centrally located within the courtyard, surrounded by the hotel wings. While the setup is aesthetically pleasing, we found the chaise lounge chairs to be quite tightly packed, leaving little “breathing room” for guests. The pools themselves are on the smaller side, primarily designed for lounging rather than extensive swimming. Our main disappointment here was the condition of the pool cushions; they appeared quite dated, worn, and seemed to be covered in tanning oil, which was a bit off-putting even with a towel. This definitely detracted from the otherwise serene pool experience.
Moving on to the bar area, which spans both an indoor lounge and a poolside service. This was, unfortunately, the most perplexing aspect of our stay. The selection of alcohol was remarkably limited – honestly, one of the most basic I’ve ever encountered at a hotel, especially one under the Marriott Autograph Collection umbrella. We found only one option for most spirits (e.g., one bourbon, one basic tequila, one scotch), and generally, only budget-tier brands like Smirnoff were available. It made us question why they even bothered with a full bar. If you appreciate a good cocktail or a decent selection of spirits, I strongly advise saving your money and seeking out other fantastic bars and lounges in Palm Springs; there are plenty of upscale options nearby.
On-Site Dining: Iluminara Restaurant & Lounge
The Triada Autograph Collection features one on-site restaurant, Iluminara Restaurant & Lounge, which offers seasonally inspired California cuisine. It’s located within the hotel and provides a convenient option for guests.
Iluminara Restaurant & Lounge Hours: Open Daily, 8:00 AM – 10:00 PM.
Service: Offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner, along with a poolside bar service and convenient room service.
Cuisine: California, with a focus on fresh, local ingredients.
While it’s the sole dining option, its consistent hours and room service make it a reliable choice for meals throughout the day.
Final Thoughts:
Despite the drawbacks with the pool cushions and the very limited bar selection, our overall experience at the Triada Autograph Collection was unique. It truly felt less like a traditional Marriott property and more like a charming boutique Palm Springs getaway. Given its serene ambiance, it might have recently been acquired by Marriott, which could explain some of the inconsistencies we observed. Ultimately, while we did check out early to seek a different “party scene” vibe for the remainder of our trip, this hotel is undoubtedly a wonderful choice for those looking for a quiet, picturesque escape. It’s an ideal spot for beautiful photos and a relaxing retreat before venturing out to explore all the vibrant attractions Palm Springs has to offer.
