Luxe Stay at the Renaissance Naples Hotel Mediterraneo
If you’re looking for a Marriott brand hotel in Naples, Italy, the options can feel limited, with many being either small or located far from the city center. Fortunately, the Renaissance Naples Hotel Mediterraneo stands out as a true gem, located right in the heart of the action. Having lived in Naples for four years, the city holds a special place in my heart, and this hotel has always been a delightful treat for us on every visit.

Arrival & First Impressions
From the moment your taxi or car pulls up, the service at the Renaissance Naples Hotel Mediterraneo is nothing short of exceptional. The valet team is on standby, ready to assist. Their proactive and friendly demeanor instantly sets a welcoming tone. They seamlessly whisk your bags from the car, saving you the struggle of navigating the front stairs with heavy luggage. It’s a small detail, but their use of a side entrance for luggage storage and retrieval is a testament to their efficiency and thoughtful service. You can rest assured your belongings are secure until you’re ready for them in your room.
Stepping inside, you are immediately greeted by a spacious and truly elegant lobby. The high ceilings and tasteful decor create an expansive and inviting atmosphere. There is an abundance of plush seating, allowing guests to relax comfortably while waiting or simply taking a moment to absorb the hotel’s ambiance. This grand central area also features a magnificent bar, a beautiful hub of activity. Whether you’re looking for a refreshing coffee in the afternoon or a sophisticated cocktail in the evening, this is the perfect spot to unwind and people-watch after a long day of travel or exploring the city’s vibrant streets. It’s a place where you can feel the energy of the hotel, while still finding a quiet corner to decompress.

Rooms & Design: A Blend of Classic and Modern
A unique aspect of this Naples city center hotel is the variety in its rooms. You’ll find two types: the un-renovated rooms on the higher floors, which are still fantastic, and the recently renovated rooms on the lower floors. We’ve had the pleasure of staying in both and enjoyed our experience each time. However, the updated rooms are truly a highlight, boasting a sleek, cool aesthetic with a more spacious design. These newly refreshed rooms have been completely gutted and remodeled, featuring new light fixtures, modern power outlets, and all-new furniture, from the luxurious bathrooms to the comfortable beds.
A great detail we love about the rooms is the mini-fridge. It’s fully stocked with a variety of drinks and snacks, all at very reasonable prices—a refreshing change from the often-exorbitant costs found in other major cities.
