The Times Square EDITION: Modern Luxury in the Heart of Manhattan
Offering a sleek, sophisticated escape from the chaos of Midtown, The Times Square EDITION stands out as a premier urban sanctuary. Our visit took place just as a massive New York City snowstorm began to blanket the streets.
The Marriott STARS & Luminous Advantage
Booking through the Marriott STARS & Luminous program changed our entire experience. It turned a standard weekend into a VIP getaway with significant added value.
Our STARS VIP Perks included:
Enhanced Room Upgrade: We secured a high-floor room with a direct view of Times Square.
Daily Breakfast for Two: We loved the free breakfast provided by the STARS package at the hotel restaurant, The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens.
$100 Property Credit: We utilized this toward cocktails at the Lobby Bar and in-room dining.
Early Check-in & Late Check-out: This allowed us to enjoy the room longer during the snowstorm.
Welcome Amenity: A personalized touch waiting for us upon arrival including two notes from our travel advisors at Classic Travel (thanks Camila & Lance!), a chocolate specialty cake from The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens..
VIP Status: We were flagged as high-priority guests throughout our stay. Not to mention our Ambassador Elite status helped with Marriott.
Arrival: Curbside to the Clouds
Cold winds whipped through the city as we arrived, heightening our excitement to step inside this modern oasis. Landing right on time from Atlanta, we made it just for the 2 PM check-in.
Two lobbies — The transition from the street lobby to the 10th-floor check-in lobby was seamless. We were directed immediately to the elevators. The downstairs area was efficient and welcoming.
The Hotel: High-Contrast Elegance
The lobby design is immediately striking. Heavy black walls contrast with bright white surfaces throughout the main level. It is a very bold aesthetic. The 9th- and 10th floor terraces, framed by evergreens and neatly trimmed boxwoods, offer secluded green retreats with views overlooking Times Square
A beautiful staircase sits to the right of the check-in counter. Multiple people were ready to help us. We loved the 38th-floor hallway with its small, moody sconces.
The Suite: A View Over the Neon
An upgrade granted us a stunning vantage point over Times Square. Although the room felt small, its modern tone was undeniably impressive—a true “Welcome to New York” moment.
Welcome to New York!
Floor-to-ceiling windows stretched across the entire back wall, offering an immersive view. Positioned right in front of the glass, a comfortable chair and ottoman created the perfect spot to work or relax.
Restaurants and Lounges: Incredible Flavors
For world-class cocktails, the Lobby Bar is an absolutely amazing spot. Joseph, our waiter, went out of his way to ensure we had a great time, and our room credit covered the entire tab.
Lobby Bar Hours (floor 10):
Sunday – Wednesday: 5:00 PM – 12:00 AM
Thursday – Saturday: 5:00 PM – 1:00 AM
Dinner at The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens proved to be fantastic. Not only did Joseph check on us there, but he also provided complimentary focaccia. Every bite of the pasta was extremely great.
The Terrace Hours (floor 9):
Breakfast: Daily 7:00 AM – 10:30 AM
Lunch: Monday – Friday 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM
Brunch: Saturday & Sunday 11:30 AM – 3:00 PM
Dinner: Daily 5:00 PM – 10:00 PM
Nightlife: The Paradise Club
Inventive and high-energy, the Paradise Club is a spectacle designed specifically for Times Square. This property addition brings an exciting edge to the hotel’s nightlife.
Vibrant dance floors host signature parties, while enchanting dinner shows offer a more curated experience. For those seeking the unexpected, the Paradise Club website provides all necessary ticket details.
See everything from cabaret-style performances to music from the likes of Questlove.
Paradise Club Hours:
Thursday – Saturday: 7:00 PM – Late
(Note: Showtimes vary; check the website for specific ticketed event times)
Amenities: Service and Style
Beyond the physical spaces, the concierge and waitstaff are the primary amenities here. Hospitality shown by the dining team felt personal and truly elevated our stay.
Morning meals are served at The Terrace and Outdoor Gardens. Featuring a lovely All-American display with fresh coffee and juice, the room felt surprisingly romantic.
The gym was very nice, packed, but nice!
Final Closing: A Vibrant Manhattan Retreat
Those seeking a modern vibe will find the Times Square EDITION perfect. We did observe minor maintenance issues, such as slight warping in the wood flooring.
Hallway noise occasionally drifted in through the gap under the door, though using a towel easily blocked the sound. Despite these small details, the service and views remained wonderful throughout our trip.

I travel for a living, a Delta 1 Million Miler 1MM, 10 years Diamond Medallion, 7 years straight Marriott Ambassador Elite, and oddly still Hilton Diamond (lame!). It’s the stories I collect along the way that truly fuel me.
From high-rise hotels in buzzing metropolises to quiet beachside cafés tucked between palm trees, my career takes me across the United States and beyond—and I take every opportunity to explore, taste, and soak up the local vibe. Whether I'm grabbing late-night bites in Belgium, sipping wine in Napa, or discovering rooftop gems in New York City, I always keep an eye out for the places and moments worth sharing.

This site is my travel log and guidebook rolled into one—a place where you’ll find detailed insights into the restaurants, hotels, rooftops, beach spots, bars, and other hidden treasures that define each city. Whether you're chasing your next adventure or planning a weekend escape, I hope my posts help you travel smarter, eat better, and find magic in every stop.
