The hotel’s atmosphere is so immersive it feels like being transported to a luxurious Aspen lodge or a high-end wilderness store.
Luxurious and Unique Design: The hotel’s design, courtesy of the Kessler Collection, is a major standout. You were “flabbergasted” by the intricate details, such as the elevators lined with pennies and animal hair, and the unique historical memorabilia on every floor. The floating lamps outside the elevators and the fireplace that can be enjoyed from all four sides further contribute to its one-of-a-kind character.
Fantastic Suite Accommodations: As a Marriott Ambassador Elite, you were upgraded to a gorgeous suite that featured a fireplace, two bathrooms, a huge walk-in shower, and a unique bathtub. The welcoming bottle of curated wine and chocolates from the Kessler Collection added a special touch.

You highlighted the massive, beautifully decorated speakeasy bar as a “showstopper,” noting that it’s so popular that even locals frequent it. Bring some extra spending money, they have a lot to do within walking distance. Also, there is a great little ship floating between the lobby bar and the restaurants, you might want to pickup a gift!

From the moment we arrived, this hotel proved to be a magnificent blend of rustic charm and artistic luxury. An Unforgettable Arrival and First Impressions
The hotel’s charm is evident from the moment you pull up. The unique valet entrance immediately sets a welcoming tone, and the service is nothing short of exceptional. Upon entering, you are immediately transported to another world. The central feature of the lobby is a massive, beautifully crafted stone fireplace that radiates warmth and a cozy, alpine lodge feel. It truly feels as though you’ve been transported to a luxurious lodge in Aspen, Colorado, in the middle of a snowstorm. With its unique rustic-chic decor, the entire space feels like a high-end wilderness outfitter’s store, but with luxurious beds.
The check-in process was a pleasure. We were graciously offered a welcome drink, which we enjoyed by the fireplace while taking in the stunning surroundings. One of the most unique aspects of this centerpiece is its design, which allows guests to sit and socialize on all four sides, creating a communal and inviting atmosphere. The entire lobby and main floor were bustling with people, drawn in by the hotel’s distinctive decor and lively energy.

As a Marriott Ambassador Elite member, we were fortunate to receive an upgrade to a beautiful suite, a perfect showcase of the hotel’s meticulous attention to detail. The artistic flair of the Kessler Collection is everywhere you look.
The elevators, for example, are a work of art in themselves, lined with pennies and a fascinating assortment of animal hair. This unique and charming decor extends throughout the property, with each floor featuring unique historical memorabilia and intricate designs. The entrances to the elevators on every floor are framed by gorgeous little lamps that seem to float off the ground, adding another layer of visual delight.
Our suite was absolutely gorgeous and offered a truly lavish experience. It featured its own fireplace, two full bathrooms, a huge king-sized bed that was extremely comfortable, and a large walk-in shower. A unique bathtub added an extra touch of luxury. As an Ambassador Elite, we were also welcomed with a lovely bottle of curated wine and chocolates from the Kessler Collection, a testament to the brand’s commitment to personalized service.

The Grand Bohemian Lodge is a destination in itself for dining and drinks, offering something for every mood. You can grab a drink and a cocktail at the lively lobby bar, which is a perfect spot for people-watching. It’s so well-regarded that even local residents frequent the hotel just to experience this fantastic venue. The speakeasy adds a cool, exclusive vibe to the hotel and is a major part of what makes a stay here so unique and exciting.

It stands out as one of the best Autograph Collection hotels I’ve ever experienced, and it is a testament to the masterful design of the Kessler Collection.
