We were fortunate enough to secure a coveted ocean view room, offering breathtaking panoramic vistas of the entire resort and the pristine Caribbean Sea stretching out before us. The high, approximately 30-foot ceilings created an incredible sense of spaciousness and airiness, enhancing the overall feeling of tranquility.
The centerpiece of our room was undoubtedly the bed, draped in what felt like luxurious white satin, inviting us into a truly “dream bed” experience. The plush bedding and meticulous presentation promised nights of unparalleled comfort. Stepping out onto our private balcony, we were greeted by awe-inspiring views – not only of the vibrant restaurant area below but also the expansive, turquoise ocean and the beautifully manicured grounds of the resort. It was the perfect spot for morning coffee, watching the sunrise, or simply unwinding to the soothing sounds of the waves.
The bathroom was equally impressive. A generously sized walk-in space, its most distinctive feature was the open-concept shower. This innovative design allowed us to gaze out through surrounding windows at the resort’s lush landscape while bathing, creating a unique connection to the outdoors. Accessible by climbing a ladder to the second level of our room, this elevated sanctuary offered an unparalleled bathing experience. After settling into our beautiful room, we descended to the main area where guests gathered for breakfast. A truly unique aspect of our stay was the fact that our friends, who were getting married, had rented the entire large house on the property. This magnificent Villa by NEST, separate from the main hotel, offered 4 spacious bedrooms, a full kitchen, 3 bathrooms, and its own private layout with exclusive beach access adjacent to the main resort area. It’s an ideal option for groups, families, or special events, showcasing NEST’s versatility in Tulum accommodations.
For those eager to explore beyond the resort, NEST Tulum offers complimentary bicycles. This was a fantastic perk, allowing us to easily pedal down the scenic beach road, discovering charming shops, cafes, and other hidden gems. The hotel also provides transport services, though having our own car offered additional flexibility for venturing further afield.

One of the greatest advantages of staying at NEST Tulum is its prime location. Stepping out of the front gate, you’re immediately immersed in the vibrant energy of Tulum. We were able to effortlessly walk next door to Nomade, known for its lively party scene, and quickly access a majority of the area’s most popular restaurants, including the renowned Rosa Negra, which also offers a fantastic party atmosphere. A Small Note on Local Customs
As a helpful hint for anyone traveling to Tulum, it’s important to be aware of a local custom regarding plumbing. Throughout the entire beachfront area, including the town, you cannot flush anything down the toilet that is not natural to the Earth. All non-natural waste must be disposed of in a trash can. This is simply how things work in Tulum, a small adjustment for an otherwise incredible destination.
