- Hotel Fact: Sister property to the Vdara.
Sister Properties: ARIA and VDARA are interconnected sister properties located within the CityCenter complex. Reviewing one often means reviewing the benefits of both.
ARIA (Traditional Vegas): Features a full casino, an expansive pool complex, and direct access to high-end shopping at The Shops at Crystals. Ideal for guests who want the classic, high-energy Las Vegas experience.
VDARA (Non-Gaming, Smoke-Free Oasis): Offers an upscale, smoke-free, and non-gaming environment. Perfect for travelers seeking a quieter, luxurious retreat with larger, residential-style rooms.
Room Types: VDARA rooms include full kitchens/kitchenettes, catering to guests who prefer longer stays or more space. ARIA rooms range from traditional sizes to large luxury suites.
VDARA’s Age: While Vdara is luxurious, some rooms may show slight signs of age, though the overall amenity level remains high.
Package Fees (VDARA): Be aware that Vdara charges a fee (reportedly around $25) to pick up packages shipped to the hotel—an unexpected charge for guests.

The Review: ARIA and VDARA Las Vegas
ARIA and VDARA are two distinct but interconnected properties that stand out as top choices for any Las Vegas visitor. They consistently rank high, making either a solid choice, depending on your priorities.
ARIA Resort & Casino: The Classic Vegas Experience
ARIA is the larger, more traditional Vegas resort, and it is the property that hosts the central casino and extensive entertainment options.
Vegas Vibe: ARIA delivers the quintessential Las Vegas energy, complete with a massive casino floor, numerous bars, and a stunning pool area.
Amenities: This resort is home to the expansive Shops at Crystals, connecting it to a massive luxury shopping mall.
Room Style: Rooms are modern and technologically advanced, ranging from standard resort rooms to grand luxury suites.
VDARA Hotel & Spa: The Smoke-Free Sanctuary
VDARA offers a unique, tranquil alternative on the Strip. Originally intended as condominiums, its design emphasizes space and serenity.
Non-Smoking, Non-Gaming: VDARA is one of the few entirely smoke-free and non-gaming hotels on the Strip, making it the perfect choice if you want to escape the noise and smoke typically found in a Vegas casino.
Residential Suites: All rooms are larger, suite-style accommodations. A major benefit is the presence of a full kitchen or kitchenette in every room, along with spacious living areas and separate bedroom spaces, often divided by a built-in television console.
Lobby & Amenities: The lobby is generally quieter and more relaxed. It features a bar/lounge with food service, a popular Starbucks, and a small cafe for quick meals and groceries to-go. The hotel also has a conference center and offers shipping services (though with the package pickup fee mentioned above).
Both hotels offer excellent dining options. VDARA is more streamlined, while ARIA is a major culinary destination.

I travel for a living, a Delta 1 Million Miler 1MM, 10 years Diamond Medallion, 7 years straight Marriott Ambassador Elite, and oddly still Hilton Diamond (lame!). It’s the stories I collect along the way that truly fuel me.
From high-rise hotels in buzzing metropolises to quiet beachside cafés tucked between palm trees, my career takes me across the United States and beyond—and I take every opportunity to explore, taste, and soak up the local vibe. Whether I'm grabbing late-night bites in Belgium, sipping wine in Napa, or discovering rooftop gems in New York City, I always keep an eye out for the places and moments worth sharing.
